Archaeology is the study of human culture and activity through material culture. Material culture can be any type of artifact, architecture, earthworks, refuse pits, tombs, remains, etc.
What is Pseudoarchaeology?
Pseudoarchaeology is interpretations of the past that are outside of the academic realm and community of archaeology. These interpretations generally deny accepted scientific methods and ideas, and are usually out of historical context.

Archaeology Mythbusting is taking information about archaeology that is widely believed to be fact in popular culture or pseudoarchaeology and determining through validated historical and scientific information whether or not this information is true, or indeed a myth.
The Purpose of Archaeology Mythbusting
To spread accurate information relating to archaeology in order to engage the public. Pop culture, media, and pseudoarchaeology has a history of distorting information, and because it is generally more accessible than the world of academia, it is largely believed without proof.
